Review by hotel critic
Staying at Da Domenico Am Hagelkreuz over Christmas was a delightful experience that perfectly blended comfort with charm. The location is simply unbeatable, just a leisurely stroll from the heart of the city, making it ideal for exploring the festive markets. Our room was spotlessly clean and featured a recently renovated bathroom, which was a pleasant surprise for a quaint hotel like this. I loved the convenience of having complimentary drinks in the fridge — perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing! What really stood out were the warm and accommodating staff; they went out of their way to ensure we felt at home, even providing room service from the lovely Italian restaurant downstairs — their pasta is a must-try! This place has a cozy vibe that reminded me of the historic inns I've enjoyed while sailing along the coastlines of the UK. All in all, a fantastic spot for anyone, especially those of us who appreciate a touch of history blended with modern comforts. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone traveling with friends or family.
